Taboo session

The aim of our taboo breaking sessions is to discuss various difficult and delicate subjects in a safe environment. We have prepared a few topics to get started, but your contribution is key and will help define this workshop. Seated around the table, we’ll take our time to discuss things which are not easy to talk about, with complete respect for each other’s opinions however different they might be from our own. So, is there something you always wanted to discuss, and do you only wait for the right moment? Then grab a coffee or a tea, a comfortable seat, and be welcome around the table with the circle of trust!

Networking for success

Networking is the fuel that accelerates your succes. We are not talking about computers but the proces of meeting with a lot of people, and building valuable relationships to achieve your goals. According to Hal Lancaster networking remains the No. 1 cause of job attainment. In this workshop we will not only explore how you can use networking for your (future) professional goals, but how to implement this proces as a lifestyle strategy.

Which are the difficulties you encounter when networking with a visual impairment? How can you overcome them and even use this to your advantage? This is what you will learn in ‘Networking for Success’.

Feel and hear what is around you with sounds … It is now possible with echolocation. In this workshop you will learn how a tongue click can help you to avoid obstacles, feel the distance to objects and people, how to move in different situations inside and outside and generally orienting yourself in your surrounding’s more easily and independently. Travelling is amazing, you learn a lot, especially things that are not written down in books or that you can find on your computer in your room.
